In the year 2009, Jnanarathna Education and Charitable Trust ® was established at Rathnagiri – Niddodi near Kateel temple.
The first institution under the trust, Sri Durgadevi Industrial Training Institute (I.T.I.) with a consistent 100% result and 100% placement record takes pride in having achieved this feat in 3 anniversaries/decades thereon, being a prestigious Industrial Training Institute in the state.
Young entrepreneur, Sri Bhaskar Devasya, a disciplined visionary through voluntary effort who has etched a permanent mark in the social and religious affairs as well as the educational sector is the founder of this organization.
Continuing in the education sector, Sri Durgadevi English medium High School and Rathnagiri Shishuvihaar were set up in the year 2011 to impart value-based, quality education to rural students at affordable rates equipped with modern facilities like the smart class teaching system.
Sri Durgadevi Junior Primary School was inaugurated in the year 2012. In 2013, preparations were underway to begin Sri Durgadevi Senior Primary School and Sri Durgadevi P.U. College (Arts and Commerce Department).
The organization which is yet still making strides in the educational sector has plans to expand in the same sector in the future.
